The CIF

Created in 1996, the Comité Interprofessionnel du Fret des Aéroports Parisiens (Paris airports interprofessional

cargo committee) includes all stakeholders in the air-cargo chain including TLF, SYCAFF and handling companies. It

is comprised of airline representatives, cargo agents, customs services, airport authorities and shippers,

represented by their association, AUTF.
The primary task of the CIF is to:
- Improve the quality of interfaces between operators
- Encourage each company involved in air cargo handling and shipping to develop a quality policy.
- Carry out joint actions to promote the Paris airports and the companies located at these airports.
- Develop the use of new technologies at the inter-professional level.

Customs

As a service administration, customs has been involved for several years now in a process of facilitating trade and simplifying customs clearance operations. Modern paperless tools such as the DELT@ IT system, France's interpretation of the European E-customs system, are provided to companies for safe, swift and low cost customs clearance.

At Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, customs is fully integrated into the logistics chain thanks to its partnership relations with all operators installed on the airport platform. Periodically, we organise meetings with export professionals to offer them the customs solutions most suited to their need and thereby help them improve their competitiveness.

Today, customs has reinforced its cooperation with companies by awarding an "authorised business operator" label which exceeds safety concerns as it guarantees the reliability of the label holders.
