The Goals of the Aéroports de Paris Environmental Management System

Implementing a continuous improvement system.

Aéroports de Paris commits to continually improving its environmental performance in the context of its assignments:

SYSTEMATICALLY INTEGRATING THE ENVIRONMENT INTO OUR BUSINESS
On the strength of our ambition to operate within a context that is environmentally friendly, we commit to deploying the best existing practices in this field to all of our business activities (maintenance, operations, purchasing, management, contracts…). This principle aims not only to ensure strict compliance with applicable regulations but also with the additional commitments that we have set ourselves. This approach is applied in a context of continually striving to improve.

ACTING AS A RESPONSIBLE PLAYER
Aware of the considerable challenge posed by climate change and managing air quality, we commit to work to control local emissions (NOx, particles) and overall emissions (CO2) that we are directly responsible for. This commitment is based on actions relating to modes of transportation within and around our airports and improving the management of our existing and future property base (by applying High Environmental Quality or HQE standards).

PREVENTING
To meet the demands of exemplarity that we have set ourselves when it comes to managing our own impact levels, we commit to implementing the technical and human resources needed to prevent collective pollution hazards at our airports (rainwater runoff, waste processing). This rule especially covers the on-going implication by our staff members as well as by our economic partners from territorial or neighborhood bodies.

PROMOTING OUR VALUES AND SPREADING BEST PRACTICES
As part of our efforts to ensure respect for all parties (neighbors, local authorities, private companies, public bodies) and fully aware of the importance of our practices on the territory on which we operate, we commit to transparently communicating our environmental impact data, stressing listening, dialog and discussion. This goal also contributes to support for environmental management actions initiated by all of the other players active at our airports.
