Although airports contribute to regional and national prosperity, airports must also preserve the territory where they are located. Fully aware of its environmental responsibility, Aéroports de Paris seeks out and implements permanent measures and mechanisms so as to respect its natural and human surroundings.
Through its actions, Aéroports de Paris seeks to:
- Act to preserve local air quality,
- Reduce its contribution to global climate change,
- Control its water consumption and effluent releases into the natural habitat,
- Organize a service to collect and process standard industrial waste at its airport facilities, encouraging the use of waste sorting,
- Integrate into the countryside,
- Train staff members in environmental matters and raise the awareness of its contractors and suppliers.
This is long term environmental action that is making a difference: current results show a commitment that is a little greater every year.
