Presentation of the Global Compact

visu Accéder à Paris-Charles de Gaulle

In July 2000, United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, asked company directors to join together in support of the Global Compact.

An international initiative

The Global Compact brings together business companies and the United Nations, as well as the world of work and civil society to discuss universal principles relating to human rights, labour standards and environmental practices, and the fight against corruption.

By signing the Global Compact Charter, the companies commit themselves to promoting and respecting its ten principles. They contribute, along with the other parties involved, to developing solutions for a more humane, better accepted globalisation.

In July 2003, the Aéroports de Paris Group adhered to the principles of the Global Compact in order to carry on the values defended by Aéroports de Paris, and in compliance with its policy favouring sustainable development.

The companies that have signed this veritable code of conduct commit themselves to reconciling their economic development with ethical and moral principles.

The obligations subscribed to apply not only to Aéroports de Paris as a company, but also to the overall sphere of responsibilities relating to the company. These practices equally apply to its sub-contractors and suppliers as well as every other company exercising its activities on any of the airport sites.
