To this end, it is carrying out a partnership strategy to link it with airport companies and socio-economic players in the business and labour market areas around each of its platforms.
Aéroports de Paris is also seeking to meet its own needs in the short and medium term by enhancing the human and technological resources available or yet to be created within its locality.
For several years now, Aéroports de Paris has therefore been able to undertake numerous sustained actions to encourage local economic growth by forging relations of trust with political and socio-economic players.
These activities can be divided into four fields:
Development of the industrial and commercial fabric in the region
- Encouraging the creation of businesses on and around the airport,
- Promoting the attraction of the region to businesses and encouraging new set-ups,
- Welcoming French and international companies by helping them to develop their market in France and, moreover, supporting French companies in establishing themselves abroad,
- Supporting activities to promote local territories abroad,
- Supporting exchanges with local suppliers,
- Developing synergies between airport businesses.
Access for local residents to airport and related trades
Aéroports de Paris is:
- Designing and piloting systems for social inclusion of disadvantaged people,
- Professionalizing the jobless through alternative training,
- Removing obstacles to recruitment, notably those linked to mobility,
- Introducing them to airport skills and supporting employment projects by continually encouraging an approach of human and geographic proximity,
- Initiating systems for inclusion through economic activity.
Assistance for airport employees in their daily life
- Inter-company day nursery: caring for the children of airport employees,
- Housing committee: helping personnel to find accommodation close to the airport.
Developing the attraction and promotion of local areas
- The Trades, Jobs and Training Observatory to monitor the situation and evolution of employment in the airport basins,
- Sustainable Development Centres: developing dialogue with local residents,
- Aéroports de Paris Foundation: supporting local initiatives in their activities to help the most deprived,
- Aid for soundproofing: managing the system to provide aid for soundproofing for the benefit of the airport’s local residents.
