Bernard Cathelain - Executive Director – Development and Facilities


Effective 1 January 2008, Bernard Cathelain becomes Executive Director – Development and Facilities of Aéroports de Paris, replacing Marc Noyelle who remains president of Aéroports de Paris Ingénierie (ADPi) until July 2008.

Bernard Cathelain holds a diploma from the Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.He started his career in 1985 as Project Manager at the Ports and Navigable Waterways division of engineering firm BCEOM.

From 1986 to 1992, he worked at the Direction Départementale de l’Equipement of the Val d’Oise region as Executive in charge of the functional arrondissement and then manager in charge of the major projects department.Then B. Cathelain worked for the Regional Council of Ile-de-France in charge of transport, traffic and IT.He joined the Société des Autoroutes du Nord et de l’Est de la France (SANEF) in 1993, where he held the following positions successively:
- Construction Director (works and commissioning of the A16 highway between Isle-Adam and Amiens and then between Amiens and Boulogne; launching of the A29 between Saint-Quentin and Amiens and then between Neufchâtel-en-Bray and Amiens);
- Director - Engineering, Development & Environment.

Bernard Cathelain joined Aéroports de Paris in July 2001 as Head of the Project Management department. In 2003, he became Director in charge of Major Projects (Galerie Parisienne, CDGVal, new East Terminal baggage sorting system, etc.).

Bernard Cathelain was born on 11 June 1961.
