During this summer, from 20 June to 31 August, 252 oversize posters (4m x 3 m) will reveal unpublished photo pairings. In both the arrival and departure areas, nearly 200,000 daily travellers will have the chance to discover photos of feathered masks, figurines, ritual objects, textiles, or painted ceilings, as well as photographs of ritual ceremonies, along with the architectural details of the new museum building.

Appearing on 180 screens in the terminals, an original video clip on the exhibition and the museum will play continuously on the AEO TV channel of Aéroports de Paris (7,000 broadcasts per day). A full report dedicated to the museum’s opening appears in the June issue of Aéroports de Paris’ magazine (300,000 copies).

Created by Aéroports de Paris, this exhibit celebrates values like cultural exchange and global open-mindedness which the airport shares with the museum.

Where cultures and civilizations meet
In order to illustrate the multidisciplinary nature of the museum, these photo pairings illustrate the details of the building created and designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel and combine them with thirty works of the collections as well as with photographs of ritual ceremonies and pictures illustrating the scientific research, another essential activity of the new museum.

A special scenography has been conceived to offer the passengers in similar perspectives - up to 400 metres long - coherent sets while using the flattering light and the volume of the various architectures of the terminals.

Aéroports de Paris: “the world is our guest”
Aéroports de Paris offers a unique moment of escape and emotion to the 20 million travellers who pass through its facilities during the summer period. They will receive a preview of the cultural wealth of the museum—which can be seen as the biggest French architectural and cultural project of the decade—while considering the airport as a global place of exchange and an intersection.

This exhibition is the follow-up to a series of exhibitions shown in the terminals of Aéroports de Paris for the past two years. Previous themes referred to: art (“Le destin de l’Art Moderne est au Centre Pompidou”), universal values (« Hommes & Femmes de paix » / « Pour les Femmes et la science – Prix L’Oréal/Unesco », and sport (« FIFA 100 ans, 100 joueurs »).

"Musée du quai Branly : where different cultures meet in dialogue"
With a broad collection of works from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas, the musée du quai Branly seeks to accentuate the multidisciplinary nature of art by encouraging a new look at art and cultures from outside Europe. The museum’s goals are twofold: to preserve and develop their collections, and also to encourage the research and teaching of these works and the societies that created them.

Bouygues has always strived for quality in carrying out its works, and also actively contributing to the creation and improvement of France’s heritage. Several achievements illustrate Bouygues’ expertise, in particular the transformation of the Orsay railway station into a museum of 19th-century art, the renovation of the Grand Louvre and today the construction of the musée du quai Branly. Bouygues’ support for this exhibit naturally furthers their philosophy
