Passenger traffic figures
Aéroports de Paris handled 7.06 million passengers in October 2006, an increase of 6.1 % on October 2005. Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport recorded a gain of 6.2 % to 4.93 million passengers and Paris-Orly airport was up 5.8 % to 2.13 million passengers.
This increase was essentially due to the rise in traffic within the European Union.
Domestic traffic rose by 3.1 %. Europe traffic grew 9.9 % thanks to Schengen traffic which increased by 11.9%. Traffic on routes to and from the 10 new European Union members rose by 8.8%. Great Britain and Ireland traffic saw an increase of 4.3%.
Traffic on the other international routes reached a 3.8 % increase.
A strong 6.1% increase was recorded on routes to and from Africa as well as a 7.3% growth for Asia and the Middle East. Traffic to and from North and Latin America was -0.4%, North America gained 0.9 % while Latin America decreased by 5.2 %.

Aircraft movements
The number of aircraft movements increased by 6 % in October year on year (5.8 % at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and 6.4 % at Paris-Orly). In addition, the passenger load factor increased slightly to 73.54 % compared with 73.15 % in 2005.
