November 2006 traffic

Passengers traffic figures

Aéroports de Paris handled a total of 6.20 million passengers in November 2006, an increase of 5% on November 2005. Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport recorded a gain of 5.1% to 4.25 million passengers and Paris-Orly airport was up 4.8 % to 1.95 million passengers.

This increase was essentially due to the rise in traffic within the European Union.

Domestic traffic is quasi stable at – 0.2 %. Europe traffic grew 9.9 % thanks to Schengen traffic which increased by 12 %. Traffic on routes to and from the 10 European Union members also rose by 15.8 %. Great Britain and Ireland traffic saw an increase of 5.7 %.

Traffic on the other international routes reached a 3.3 % increase. A strong 6.9 % increase on routes to and from Africa as well as a 6.1 % growth for Asia and the Middle East. Traffic to and from North and Latin America was -2 %, with a stability for North America at – 0.1 % while Latin America decreased by 6.6 %.

Aircraft movements

The number of aircraft movements increased by 5.4 % in November year on year (5.6 % at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and 4.9 % at Paris-Orly). In addition, the passenger load factor is stable at 69.48 % in November 2006 compared with 69.59 % in November 2005.
